Hi Abdul Sorry for not replying sooner but have had great difficulty in sourcing updated drivers for my scanner, it appears that Canon has made a decision not to update drivers for this product to work with Windows 10, and so it looks like my flatbed scanner (old model it may be) is to be confined to the scrapheap.
They (Canon) would prefer I spend more money on their products by purchasing another of their appliances. Other posts and remedies have been pursued but to no avail. Thank you for your comments and interest in my problem. I have actually had it working but under a clean install of Win10 (32bit).
No luck under the 64 bit version though. However, subsequently I've wiped my installation and I can't get it working again. It appears as a device and the test function inside the driver works fine.
However when I try to acquire an image it says there is no scanner installed. I have had this working properly though and have scanned photos perfectly fine. It seems to hinge on getting the Canoscan driver installed, which it doesn't seem to like doing.
