I'm having similar problems, I work in support for a company that has over 1200 stores and we have been implementing 2015s in some of them for awhile now. I set them up here and configure the IP addresses then send them out to the stores. Sometimes for some reason once they hook them up they get 'configuring' as the ip and we have to remote in and have them hook it up through usb so we can attempt to change the settings. In the past we were having them send them back, reconfigure, then send the back to them. Also is there anyway to get the hp toolbox to see printers other than the one it was originally set up with?!

I installed the software on a pc here at corp and used it to configure a 2015 just fine but, the next 3 times I've tried hooking an identical printer to the pc it won't show up in the toolbox even tho the drivers are installed and I can print over usb. Thats the main reason why it is having different ip address because it don't required any ip address once you tried to connect your printer through usb cable. I can suggest you that once you connect your printer on the network and you will get the option to network setup on your printer where you can assigned static ip to you printer which is the range for your router or network device called DHCP.

Hi, There is not wireless netwrok card is HP LJ P2015dn, However as i can understand you r using External Wireless Router or Wireless network or jet-direct card if u r able to work fine on USB than printer printing mechanism is working fine. If u connect the printer via wired network connection and it keeps on loosing IP address than it may be problem with onboard network card of the printer. If printer keeps on loosing IP Address than try upgrading the firmware of the printer.
